Spacious and modern to remember most cosmopolitan urban environments, where it mixes innovation and tradition.
The restaurant was lacking in Évora is the direction of Joaquim Almeida, a man who became cook other gastronomic temples of the city and which has now reached its definitive independence.

 

Ex-Libris:

Cold starters: Mushrooms with coriander, Greaves patty, Mayonnaise Fruit with Shrimp, the St. Christopher Coelho.

Hot Inputs: Scrambled eggs with green asparagus, scrambled eggs with sausage, mushrooms baked with ham, cheese and crackers baked with oregano.

Soups: Sargalheta partridge roasted in the oven, Açorda cod with poached egg, soup dogfish, cod soup with spinach and poached egg.

Vegetarian Food: Cannelloni of spinach and salad, vegetables and salad in puff pastry.

Fish: Fish Clay or Rice with shrimp, octopus and cod baked in the oven.

Meat: Rice slowpoke hare, lamb roasted with potatoes to punch, Pillow pork, mashed bread with asparagus and pork bowl, Half partridge with cabbage, Duo of grilled pork with shrimp and fruit (for 2 people), pork cheeks braised with red wine and apple puree.

Children's Menu: 2 grilled hamburgers with rice and potato chips, hake fillet in the oven with rice, scrambled eggs with rice and fries, grilled tenderloin steak.

Desserts: Fidalgo (sweet egg bundles with soft burned), Sweet pumpkin with almonds and pine nuts, Morgado, Pudding silver water, soft nougat with eggs, golden soup of the Convent of Santa Clara.

Fruit: Pineapple, mango, papaya, fruit of the season.

Tourist menu: Bread, dry cheese, olives, grilled pork tenderloin, 1/2 bottle of wine or water or juice, coffee and dessert.

 

Wines: Neat wine with a careful selection of the best varieties from various regions of the country.

Capacity: 80 seats

 
Opening hours: From 12h00 to 15h00 and from 19h00 to 22h45

 
Closing day: 2nd and Sunday evening. 1st half of August and 1st half of January.

Edward The food is excellent but because it was very full the night we went the service was a little slow, but very good food. Für nur 8.50EUR wurde uns ein komplettes Menu mit Suppe, Hauptspeise, Dessert, Brot, Cafe, Wein aufgetischt. Das Essen war sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Der Service war sehr gut. Wir wurden vom Chef persönlich bedient. Auch das Ambiente in diesen gemütlichen Lokal stimmte von A-Z. Ein absolutes Muss für Leute, die für wenig Geld gut (und portugisisch) essen möchten.
line Carla Marques Quer os pratos regionais, quer as filetes recheadas ou o polvo no forno são muito bons o serviço é agradável e a relação qualidade preço é muito satisfatória. Não deixem de pedir torresmos de porco...um espanto.
line Carol We went to this restaurant because O Fialho was closed due to a public holiday. We were not disappointed. The food is exceptionally good with a wide variety of local specialties served with a twist. Definitely not bog standard fare. There is a huge wine list which is worth delving into. The only issue is the English version of the menu is a little bit mistranslated so don't be fooled by hamburger as its actually steak and my other half was very happy with his steak. Additionally the proprietor goes to great lengths to circulate around the restaurant in a discreet fashion to see that all the customers are happy with the food. You won't be disaoppointed eating here.
line Catherin Food was excellent. I think I had pork, and my dad had lamb. Everyone liked what they ordered and it was served very quiclky. The starters were good too. The desserts were fabulous - a chocolate cake that was fantastic. The 'rancid lard' is a sweet honey nutty dish - try it!
line Nuno Simões Boa comida com apresentação cuidada. Os ovos com espargos ficam na memória, como outros pratos da região e os peixes, sob a forma de espetada de tamboril com gambas ou da generosa massinha de peixe.
line Carla Lourenço Ja ha muito tempo que nao ia a um sitio e me sentia tao bem servida e satisfeita. Desde a qualidade da comida ao atendimento, nota 5 estrelas. O preço acessivel e podemos disfrutar duma optima refeição. Fui la ontem pela primeira vez, mas desde ja recomendo e certamente voltarei qd visitar Évora.
